【Synopsis】
Broadcast Period: April - June 2004, on TV Asahi
The "Wide Area Special Investigation Unit" was newly established within the Metropolitan Police Department due to the increasing scope of crime. This work depicts the group of investigation experts, led by the passionate detective Hyogo Takami, who pursue all kinds of cases beyond the boundaries of the local police stations. It gained popularity as a human and action detective drama filled with human interest woven by a cast of unique characters, and became a long-running hit program, with a total of 8 series produced.
The final chapter depicts the conflict between Hyogo Takami (Kyoya Shibata) and Daikichi Yasuoka (Katsuo Nakamura), who mysteriously disappeared 38 years ago, as well as the fate of his love with his ex-wife Reiko (Jun Fubuki)! Finally, all episodes of the series are completely available on video!
